We Must Go Through The Valley's To Arrive On The Mountaintops!

"For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks. For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness. For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall. As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God? It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect. He maketh my feet like hinds' feet, and setteth me upon my high places. He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms. Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great. Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip."  (Psalm 18:27-36 KJV)

I was listening to the radio this morning and a song came on that I had heard before, but perhaps never heard before - do you know what I mean?  Some of the lyrics are - we must go through the valley to stand upon the mountain top ... I know that I do not stand alone and you are with me ... Do you know that today?  Do you know that the Lord does not leave us in the valley of despair?  He loves us and His desire is for us to draw closer to Him.

When we are so low in the valley we can't see that, that is when the Lord brings someone into our path that will remind how great and awesome the Lord is.  You may be suffering with Cancer and the doctors are painting a bleak picture for you.  But know that God is still God!  If a you are not healed on this earth - in heaven you are given a perfect body - no more sickness.  I believe it is what we do with the time the Lord has given us here is what is important.  We will never know when our appointed time is, only the Lord knows that - but He has given us His Son to show us that we are not in it alone.  To just acknowledge that we are sinners and change our ways to live a life that pleases the Lord.  He loves you and today is a new day!  Can you live life with that philosophy?  Yesterday was yesterday and today is today!  God is good!  Come to Jesus.

I hope you all have a great weekend.  Invite someone to go to church with you this Sunday.  If you have not found a church home yet, pray that the Lord leads you to one where the word of God is spoken and high and lifted up!  Count your blessings ... for you are blessed!  Love, Tracy

THIRD DAY LYRICS

"Mountain Of God"

Thought that I was all alone
Broken and afraid
But You were there with me
Yes, You were there with me

And I didn't even know
That I had lost my way
But You were there with me
Yes, You were there with me

'Til You opened up my eyes
I never knew
That I couldn't ever make it
Without You

Even though the journey's long
And I know the road is hard
Well, the One who's gone before me
He will help me carry on
After all that I've been through
Now I realize the truth
That I must go through the valley
To stand upon the mountain of God

As I travel on the road
That You have lead me down
You are here with me
Yes, You are here with me
I have need for nothing more
Oh, now that I have found
That You are here with me
Yes, You are here with me

I confess from time to time
I lose my way
But You are always there
To bring me back again

Sometimes I think of where it is I've come from
And the things I've left behind
But of all I've had, what I possessed
Nothing can quite compare
With what's in front of me
With what's in front of me

Let Your Life Glorify Him

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
(Matthew 5:16-19 KJV)

That first line ... let your light shine.  It does not mean brag about your life and what you are doing.  It means let your life shine and be an example of what Christ is doing in you.  Be encouraged today.  Know that God has a plan for your life and that when you are in the storm He is right beside you.  Know that to get out of the storm you need to surrender all you are to Jesus and Jesus alone.  Open His Word and seek His guidance.  No matter what you face - Jesus holds the answers.  There is no running from the problems you face today ... face them head on with courage.  Face them with the knowledge that Jesus is your answer.

I pray that the Lord will place someone in your path today that will lift you up and encourage you in His name.  I know that we all get down and can feel like the walls around us are closing in ... but brush the dust off your Bible today and read what Jesus is trying to say to you.  You don't have to face this day alone.

I love you and I hope you have a great day - count your blessings, for you are blessed!  Love, Tracy

The Valentine

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God."  (John 3:16-21 KJV)

John 3:16 is the ultimate Valentine!  Thinking about what that means to me today, God saw how evil the people of the world were and were going to be - so He created a sacrifice that would take the place of our sins so that we could spend eternity with Him.  He created a son that would die for you and for me - isn't that amazing that He could love us that much?

As you are going about your day today think about that.  Think about those around you that are so deep in a storm they can't feel His love.  Show them that love today.  No matter what we are facing today, the Lord is going to place someone in our path that will encourage us and lift us up.  Maybe that is your opportunity today.  You may not be facing a valley today, maybe it is your opportunity to lift up a friend, to encourage them in the Lord.  Maybe you are the one in a valley today - turn to Jesus.  He is your ROCK.  I know sometimes when you are facing a storm you can't see the calm.  Only Jesus knows the plans the Father has for us.  It seems like lately a lot of people I know are caught in the storm.  We may not know the future ... but we know who holds the future!  I pray that you know Him today.

Please remember Laurie Lawrence in prayer, she is waiting for results of surgery she had Monday.  Pray that there is no Cancer.  Please continue to remember Mr. Brown in prayer and pray for your Church today.  Please that will God will stir people's hearts in this nation like never before.  I hope you have a Happy Valentine's Day - I love you in Jesus.  Count your blessings ... for you are blessed!  Love, Tracy

YOU'RE ALIVE!!!!!!!

"And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. "  (Colossians 3:15-17 KJV)

As we begin each day, do we say a prayer of thanksgiving to the Lord for allowing us to put two feet on the floor?    When I woke up the morning I had a lot of thoughts going through my mind about the day ahead of me.  As I was getting ready and I was praying about my quiet time alone with the Lord I could hear myself complaining about how tired I was and about my headache and before I knew it all my prayers and petitions to the Lord were complaints!  I had to stop and thank Jesus for another day!  Another day that I had to place two feet on the floor and to open my mouth and share the Good News of Jesus.  It is so easy to get stuck in a mode of murmuring and complaining.  Decide today that is it a new day to praise the Lord and begin to thank Him for all your blessings!

Have a great Monday.  Count your blessings ... name them one by one ... count your many blessings and you will see what God has done in your life!  Be blessed.  Love, Tracy
