Proverbs 19:20
"Hear counsel, and receive instruction,
that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end."
I like this quote that I read once, it said ...
"The true secret of giving advice is, after you have honestly given it, to be perfectly indifferent whether it is taken
or not." Do you ever wonder why people ask sometimes? I think it is because they are hoping that the
other person will reply with exactly what they want to hear - not necessarily the truth.
Sometimes
I think that is how God feels. He guides and directs us. He puts obstacles in our paths where we should not go. When
we try to create our own path to move through that obstacle, I think sometimes He lets us through just so we can learn to
trust Him more. Godly people are placed in our lives for a reason, not for a season. We need to learn from each
other. We need to encourage each other and we need to build each other up.
Trust that God
will bring you through whatever you are facing today. It may not be the answer you want to hear - but His Word is the
truth for always. Learn and grow through your experience so that you are able to testify to what the Lord has done in
your life! Yes, you will face hard times, but better to face them with faith and trust in Jesus then empty and alone!
You are not alone ~ Jesus
loves you. Have a blessed Thursday ~ count your blessings. Pray for Tammy Messner (former wife of Evangelist Jim Bakker), she is battling
cancer. She will be only Larry
King tonight at 9 PM, her weight is down to 65 lbs. Pray the Lord gives her family peace
and that He takes her home soon.
Please continue to remember all the prayer requests sent out yesterday
and a friend from Church, Susie Booth who lost her Dad yesterday (somewhat unexpectedly). Please keep her family in
your prayers today. God Bless each of you! Love, Tracy
Mark 9:23-24 KJV (paraphrased)
"... everything is possible for him
who believes. Immediately the boys father exclaimed, "I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!"
Every time I read this verse
I think to myself about all the times in my life that out of my mouth I say, I trust you God, but in my
heart I say, I trust you God, but I want to have a little control over this thing. So many times we just can't
leave it with the Lord - we pick that trouble back up and let it control who we are.
That is how many of us are today. We believe that
the Lord will take care of it. We have the faith that He will guide our path. We want to give it all to God, but yet,
inch by inch we take it back. "IT" - worry sadness, concern, disappointment, anxiety, desire, fear,
disgust etc ... We need to start praying that Jesus will give us that peace in all circumstances. Pray that He
will work in our lives. Guiding us through the journey of this life. Helping us learn to praise Him not only
when things are going well, but also when we are faced with hard times.
We have to learn that "blind faith" is
a daily thing. Our prayer should be, I believe Lord, but help me overcome my unbelief. Don't let unbelief
overcome us.
So
many times when we are worried about something, we say "God I turn it over to you today, I can't handle it."
Yet, one hour later, maybe even minutes later, those thoughts drift back into our minds again. We've once
again taken it back and are trying to do it alone. When we learn that God's shoulders are broader than ours, that His
picture of our lives is much clearer and that He wants me to turn to Him and leave my troubles there. We will start to see
God's greatness for us and the plan He has. It will not only bring us through the storms, but the wonderful
times too. He is our ROCK. How can we believe? Just by praying and trusting the Jesus knows all. Stay
focused in His Word. A book that was a gift given to us for us to base our daily walk after. He knows
what is best for our lives. We may want things to go a certain way in our lives, but that may not be God's plan
for us at that moment. We need to accept the plan He has for our lives and thank Him for all He does in and through
us. What we experience day to day can be used to help others get through circumstances in their lives - for the Glory
of God the Father. Always use it to Glorify God. His Blessings are plentiful.
I love you all, I pray the Lord has touched your heart
through His Word. Have a wonderful Wednesday. Please continue to remember Alex Hopkins in prayer, as well as Presley
Melton. Count your blessings my friends, because we are so blessed. Love, Tracy
Be Still and Listen
Hebrews 4:7
"....Today, if you hear His voice, do not
harden your hearts."
Sometimes we don't like to hear what God
is saying to us. We pray and we seek direction for our lives, yet we want to direct our life down a certain path and
when God says no, we don't like it very much! Isn't it typical of us to sometimes overlook the guidance
we receive from God and say that was not what God really meant, He didn't say no. For the most part, we try to do
it on our own and something will usually turn out wrong. We keep running into walls, until we realize that God
has great opportunities waiting for us! We need to learn to ask the Lord for patience to wait for His timing.
We try to rush things to get them when we want them, then we miss an even better blessing that the Lord had for us.
Pray to the Lord to give you patience to "wait" today. God's love
is unconditional and pure. Desire to grow closer to Him and desire His will for your life.
I pray the
Lord has touched your heart and will to continue to be the center of your life. I hope this Monday brings you great
blessings. Please pray for Presley Melton today she will be having surgery this morning. Also pray for her
Mom and Dad as they wait for the surgery to be completed. Love, Tracy
