Never Give Up On Prayer “My
hope comes from Him.” (Psalm 62:5 NIV)
For
most of us, it is so hard to pray when pain enters our lives, when we're experiencing a loss or going through a hard
time. We know that we should pray and seek the Lord for answers. We know that prayers offer comfort and peace.
Sometimes it is just so hard to get to that place where we can totally release ourselves to Him. The truest test of
prayer, is trusting God will provide all the answers. Too often we pray and then fret and allow our heavy hearts
to be overcome with anxious thoughts. When worry overtakes us, have we really prayed?
Prayer is making our
requests known to God and then placing all trust in Him to provide the answers. Prayer knows that God will honor all
of His promises. When we submit everything to God in prayer, He will calm our anxious hearts and give
us peaceful thoughts. Prayer trusts God to quiet the storm. Prayer produces thankful thoughts and gives us
many reminders of God’s bountiful blessings that are provided each and every day. Prayer increases our hope.
When your world seems dark, pray with an assurance that you will soon see light. If your heart is broken and
discouraged, pray with thanksgiving and expect new hope to appear. When you cannot see the answers to your problems,
pray with complete trust that God’s promises are true. When your life seems aimless, pray with the trust that
you are a perfect part of God’s perfect plan.
When you pray, empty yourself of all fear. Trust in God
to carry you through whatever troubled waters have swept over your life. Pray without doubting. Rest in the knowledge
that God is in complete control. Prayer is your connector to God. When you pray, you are never alone! God
is always by your side! I pray that with each day you realize more and more how much the Lord loves you and that you are adding
more and more blessing to the long list of blessings He has bestowed upon you. Have a great weekend ... invite someone
to church with you this Sunday. If you are not in a church, pray that the Lord leads you where you need to be.

Following The Plan of God "... Being confident of this, that he who
began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." (Philippians 1:6 NIV -
paraphrased) Spread your Joy. The message of the day!
Don't overlook God's call on your life. Too often we expect someone else to fill in for us. We're
too tired, too old, too busy. We say, let someone else do it this time. Truth be told, most of us know what God's
will is for our lives and we run in the other direction. Share the gifts God has given you. Lend a shoulder to
someone. Lend your precious time. Give a dollar. Share your testimony - everyone has a time in their life
that Christ brought then through. Spread your joy and it will be like a boomerang to someone else! Some many times we may be experiencing a low moment and someone unexpected steps
in and lifts us up. Be that person today. Trust in the Lord to carry you so you can radiate His love and help
carry someone else's burden. Just something to think
about. I hope you all have a great Thursday, take a moment to thank the Lord for all He has given you. Have a
Blessed day. Love, Tracy

Be Thankful ... In All Things! "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in
the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." (Colossians
3:17 NIV)
Simple gratitude helps us experience God at work
in every moment of every day! Do you choose to see the positive in a situation or are you always finding the negative?
Where is your focus? Is your focus on you? Or on God? So many times we forget to keep our eyes on
God and we place them on our circumstances. We feel lost and lonely. When the focus is taken
off ME there are many positives. Where is your focus today? Everything in our lives is happening for a reason.
Whether it is a good thing or a bad thing. Yes, God lets bad things happen to good people. He knows they
are going to happen. Where do we place our focus when they do? It is very easy to focus on ourselves. But,
God wants us to turn to Him in every circumstance. He will meet our needs. Try changing your focus - see what
happens! Just something to think about. I love you all. Have a great Tuesday count your blessings and take
the focus off your circumstances. Love, Tracy

Seeking His Will It was
at this time that He went off to the mountain to pray, and He spent the whole night in prayer to God." (Luke 6:12 NIV) Boy was it hard to get up this morning. My alarm went off at 5:25, but
I did not actually hear it until 5:35. I think I was dreaming about the music, but my brain was so tired and just did
not want to face the fact that it had to tell my eyes to open, my arm to pull the covers off and my feet to hit the floor
(ha ha). I think I finally surrendered at 5:49. This is my time ... alone in God's Word each day until
my husband gets up at 6:30 and then the kids at 6:45. Getting alone with God, lifting my husband and children up in prayer, my family
and my friends that have needs to be met. Starting my day asking for God's direction. If I don't do it
... I am usually going in my own direction - which does not work! We need that 30 minutes of quiet time.
A lot of people say, I need that extra sleep in the morning, yet, if there was a sale at the mall they can get up for that.
Or if they have an event they want to go to they could get up for that. We've all done it. I guess it is all a matter of priorities. What is your priority? My family
spent the weekend in Boone, NC enjoying
82 degree weather and listening to Gospel music. Sunday morning we attended a very small church. The service
started at 10:30. When we arrived at 9:30 the parking lot was already full. Imagine that! People excited
about going to Church and wanting to get a seat. We parked and went in and just barely got a seat. What a wonderful
morning, we listened to two gospel groups and then preaching. Church let out a little after 1! Not a typical Sunday
morning for my children, but the seeds that were planted yesterday will last a lifetime. I love the way people
worship when they listen to Southern Gospel music and sit under an engaging Pastor! It is like no one is there
but that person and Jesus. I don't know if the music brings that out, or if people just come hungry to worship or
if it is just the "air" in the North Carolina Mountains! It is just you and the Father today. Take your petitions to the Father
today, release your anxiety over to Him and pray that He will guide and protect you this day. Take your days one at
a time. Today is the day of Salvation. Tomorrow is a new day. The Lord has great and mighty plans for you.
Take the time to thank Him for His goodness. Thank Him for His mercy. Thank Him for the hedge of protection
that He has placed around you! Most of all thank Him for all the Blessing HE has bestowed upon your life! There
are so many! Have a great day today, I pray that the words that the Lord have placed here have touched
your heart and that He has placed a desire in your heart to get up a little earlier so that you may explore His Word and see
the way you should go each day. God be with you this day. Count your blessings ... name them one - by - one!
