Seek No More

"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for."
Hebrews 11:4-11  "By faith, we understand that the universe was formed by God...By faith Abel offered God a better sacrifice than Cain...by faith Enoch was taken from this life so that he did not experience death...by faith Noah (when warned about things not yet seen), built an ark....by faith Abraham went into the city-even though he did not know where he was going - by faith he made his home there ... by faith even though he was past the age and his wife was barren - he became a father. All these people were still living by faith when they died. "

Did you ever read a devotion or a verse of scripture and think, boy I really didn't trust God in that circumstance?  Where is your faith?  Sometime we look for others to solve our problems, instead of going to the only place where we can find the true answer we seek.  Trust in the Word of God.  Place all your desires, all your needs in the one who has given His life so you can have eternal rest and peace with Him.  That is Jesus.  Don't place your faith in a friend or spouse or even your pastor or your church.  When we do this we are following man.  As people, we will fail each other and disappoint each other.  Look up - look to the Lord for direction.  He will never fail us.  Never.  The Lord knows all of what we are facing today.  His desire is for us to turn to Him for guidance and comfort.  He will bring us up from the valley.  Write in a journal when you can.  Remind yourself how the Lord brought you out of the valley.  You will not only be encouraged yourself, but then you will be reminded to share this with friends or family that are in a valley.  Share a word of testimony.  That is what we should be doing - encouraging each other with the Love that Jesus has given each of us.  Life is hard at times - lift one another up for the glory of Christ.
I love you all, I pray that your heart has been touched by the Word of God and I pray that you are remembering the valley that you were once in and sharing that with someone today.  Tell them that Jesus loves them and they too will be brought out of the valley when they submit everything to the Lord.  John 8:32 says "Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free."  Get to know your Savior today - open your bible, read a Psalm, share a testimony.  Jesus loves you and it is never too late to serve Him.  Have a great weekend, invite someone to church with you this Sunday.  If you do not go to church, pray and ask the Lord to direct your where you need to go and where you can serve faithfully for His Glory.  Love, Tracy

Finding Your Way Back to the Lord

"I trust in you, O Lord, I say, 'You are my God.'"

I have this prayer highlighted in one of my devotional books.  I read it during my quiet time this am and thought I'd share it again.  It is in a book called Daily Word for Healing.  This was a book that I sent to my Mother when she found out she had cancer.  Which reminds me of something mentioned in Church Sunday, that is a good reminder for anyone affected with Cancer touching their families ... the BIG C is Christ ... the little c is cancer!  I pray this prayer touches you and helps you get through any circumstance you are facing today.  I am not sure that my Mother ever had the chance to read the book since her illness was so quick, but I know that it has been such a comfort to me in trying times.  They are beautiful words pointing to a desire to give everything to the Lord.

God, my faith is in You, and I trust You to give me whatever I need to live each moment fully and without fear.  You have blessed me, God, with a strong body and an intelligent mind.  My body is a temple for Your sacred spirit within, and I am grateful I have the ability to move from place to place with ease and efficiency.  You also give me understanding, God; through Your spirit within me I have a vital connection with divine wisdom.

Amen.

I think sometimes we are a society that lives in the moment.  We have to learn to put our faith and trust in the Lord and realize that every journey that we go on is traveled for a reason.  A plan that God has for our lives.  To grow, to witness, to change, to sacrifice.  But through every single step of the way Jesus is by our side.  When we will just give our needs, our wants, the desires of our hearts to Jesus, He will guide us and show us how to live.  Submit even the littlest thing to him in prayer.  He will give you peace.  He is PEACE!  I have so many people heavy on my heart today and I am praying for each of you that receive this devotion.  I know the Lord has a special plan for each one of you and I pray that you seek His guidance and direction.  Count your blessings!  Have a great Thursday.

Love,

Tracy
